I'm a very heavy drinker for an year now, started drinking a few times over the recomanded amount at 16 (7 years ago). Been using dayly about 300 mg of mainly codeine for the past two years. Used several other drugs habitually (every other day) for the past five. I'm a heavy smoker.

I know I have a fatty liver and sand in the kidneys since march.

Anyways, lately I'm feeling these quite intense pains in the lower part of my rib cage. I'ts somewhat like I've eaten to much and stuffed myself with food.
I know there is a link between this and my habits as the pains seems to intensify or appear only when I drink.

Should I be woried?

Yes-- limit your drinking about abusing codeine. If you don't, you're headed to an early grave.

This^^^^

Seriously I was shocked when I read the end of your post OP to hear that you are still drinking despite all of this.

Goodluck, and take care of yourself man...

Is the pain localized to one side of your abdomen? What form is your codeine coming in? Are you CWE'ing codeine pills that contain acetaminophen?

I've been a heavy drinker for a good few years now. Heavily abused all sorts of drugs aswell...

I recently started getting extremely sharp shooting pains in my stomach during and for a few days after when I drink. I had a bottle of rum last night and as I type this imgetting sharp shooting pains behind my ribcage. Usually I get it to the right hand side about where my liver is but today its on the left side.

Anyway, the body is remarkable at healing itself but you MUST STOP NOW. Start eating healthier, drink a ton of water, avoid alcohol for a while.

^Right sided pains under the rib cage can be liver problems. The sharp shooting pains in the stomach could be an ulcer that is made worse after a drinking bin. Could also be pancreatitis or gastritis. Besides reducing/stopping alcohol I think it would be wise to see a Doctor as soon as possible to get some of those possibilities ruled out or diagnosed and treated.

There are so many things this could be, rather than scare yourself shitless and not go to the doc thinking I have that or whatever get your backside in for the tests that need to be done for a proper diagnosis.

You will have to change a few of your habits, you will have to start looking after yourself. You must go in for proper testing and maybe even counselling to help with addictions and or change of lifestyle and advice on how best for you to manage this realisticly

I'm the type that stresses the medical systems when he feels he's got a problem...

Anyways... Been to two doctors - one a generalist the other an internal specialist - for my problems. They didn't seem to impressed about the damage of my internal organs after consulting me. Both of them remarqued that I have gass problems in my belly. Hope that's the source of my pains...

The internist gave me a whole slew of tests for tomorow morning.
